Chai Tea Syrup Concentrate for Easy Lattes and Nogs

Iced Chai Tea Nog or Hot Chai Latte
Mix up a Chai Tea Syrup Concentrate for quick on-the-go Chai Tea Latte anytime but since you have the concentrate you might as well make Chai Tea Nog!

First make your concentrate and this will make approximately 8 cups of Chai Latte unless you like it really strong...then of course you can adjust, I like mine a little mild.
Chai Tea Concentrate
This is the brand I have used but Celestial Seasonings makes a good one too...and I have recently begun making this with the a Yerba Matte Chai, wow, it's ALL GOOD!

Get 2 1/4 cups of very hot water in a small sauce pan.

Pour 1 cup of the hot water into a container with the tea bags (Your choice 4 bags, 6 or 8, how strong do you want this to be? I use 4) and steep 5 or 10 minutes...

then remove the tea bags and squeeze them well.

Now add in as much hot water as you need to make sure that your tea concentrate measures 2 cup.

To the container of warm tea add:

2 tablespoons Sweet Blend or 4 tablespoons Truvia

1/8 tsp xanthan gum sprinkled lightly on top of the warm liquid and whisk well!
(just firms up the concentrate doesn't make it thick)

Pour the concentrate into a pint jar, cover and refrigerate until you're ready to make your warm cup of evening Chai Latte

To make one cup of Chai Tea Latte:
1/2 cup of unsweetned vanilla almond milk
1/4 cup (adjust as needed) tea concentrate
1 tsp quick mixing creamy THM unflavored, whey protein(I whisk it in but you can whiz it in a small processor or use a frother)
2 tablespoons cream (I leave this out at night for a warm drink before bed)

Try the Chai Tea hot also.
Warm this in a small saucepan until it is a warm enough temperature to enjoy but don't let it boil.

If you top the hot mixture with a little whipped cream you can drizzle a little extra syrup on top.

Alternately, you can pour the mixture (above) over ice once you've mixed it up, but I like the cream in the cold one because it reminds me of a cold refreshing nog that way!

2 cups hot water (I start with 2 1/4 and the tea bags soak up some)
4-8 bags of chai tea (I use 4 bags and have used most varieties and like them)
2 tablespoons Sweet Blend or 1/4 cup Truvia(homemade or regular)
*adjust as needed everybody's different on this, but this is a minimum for me
1/8 teaspoon xanthan gum (leave it out if you don't have it, I just think it pulls it together and keeps it stable because I store it in the fridge for several days)
